I create books and prints based on my love of old things and archiving. I can't walk past a piece of old paper ephemera like postcards, scribbled notes or printed receipts. The content is usually intriguing, but there is something interesting in every part from the shape, colour, texture and typography.

As I can't resist snooping in old boxes of stuff in junk shops or perusing the ephemera section on eBay, I am a bit of a collector of all sorts of things especially old postcards, not for the images on the front but rather the messages on the back, sometimes mundane but more often than not a fascinating snippet of somebody else’s life.

All of these things find their way into my artwork whether it be in a series of prints or in an artist's book. I work in lots of different media including - drypoint, polyester plate lithography, screen printing, collage, digital printing, collagraph and simple old pen and paint!
